AMA Supercross 2013 - Round 9 St louis

Monster Energy Supercross is up to Round 9 of the AMA Supercross at the home of the St. Louis Rams, the Edward Jones dome.

Another great looking track with the AMA supercross track builders continuing with the sand section (this time before the finish jump) and a 'wall' jump before riders get on the main straight.

250 Heat 1 - Blake Wharton grabs the early lead with Zach Bell and Justin Hill following closely behind Marvin Musquin gets a bad start.

Wharton takes the win from Justin Hill and Jeremy Martin. Musquin finishes fifth, but after a mishap Bell has to head to the LCQ.

250 Heat 2 - Dean Wilson jumps out front off the start followed by Vincent on his KTM, Will Hahn is stuck mid pack.

Wilson takes the win with Hahn working up to second. Friese gets by Vincent for third.

250 LCQ - Zach Bell and Gavin Faith are the two that qualify for the main.

250 Main Event - WIll Hahn grabs another holeshot followed by Friese and Wharton. Dean Wilson and Marvin Musquin are fifth and sixth.

Half way through the race and Hahn has a good lead over Wilson who has gotten by Wharton, but is charging for Hahn.

It's getting close as Wilson is taking big chunks out of Hahns lead, will he hold on?

By the end of the race Will Hahn makes it two in a row beating Dean Wilson by less than a second!

What a great season this has been and now that all the top riders are near 100% fitness we are seeing some great racing. Reed is feeling more confident with the front end of his CRF450 (he went from the air fork to the traditional forks for tonight), Stewart is fast, but Villopoto was faster tonight.

Davi Millsaps has an inconsistent night, he's still eleven points ahead, but needs to at least be on the podium or finish in front of Villopoto to take out the title.

It looks like Canards second at Anaheim 1 may have been done on adrenaline. Barcia and Tomac are finding it tough racing with the big boys!.
