Monster Energy AMA Motocross - Round 6 of the 2013 AMA Motocross at the Southwick Moto-x 338, Massachusetts MX Sports Pro Racing and Moto-X 338 in Southwick, Mass., have announced that this season's Moto-X 338 National on Saturday, June 29th, will be the final round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing, to be hosted at the legendary sand track. "Unfortunately, we were unable to reach terms with the landowner to maintain the event at the facility," said Diane Peebles-Pittello, promoter of the event. 250 Moto 1 - A pair of Geico Hondas get out front early with Eli Tomac passing Will Hahn before the end of the first lap. Blake Baggett takes over second ahead of Hahn and Osborne with Roczen in fifth after a bad start. Hahn's egine gives way and he's out of the race. Tomac takes the win from Baggett and Roczen. 250 Moto 2 - It's the opposite to the first moto with Roczen getting up front early with Musquin and Tomac back in about 12 or thirteen. Eli Tomac is making passes early and to see him rail the outside corners is something! 450 Moto 1 - James Stewart gets the hole-shot! Ryan Villopoto is down on the ground early! At the end of the first lap Its Stewart, Andrew Short, Phil Nicoletti, Brett Metcalfe, Chad Reed, Mike Alessi, Trey Canard, Ryan Dungey, Robby Marshall, Les Smith and Justin Barcia tenth. Ryan Villopoto is about 25th. Stewart cross ruts and the rear of his Suzuki swaps back and forth and spits him over the bars (take a look at the video above, nasty!). Short takes over the lead. Ryan Dungey passes Andrew Short for the lead so by the end of the moto it's Dungey, Short, Barcia, Villopoto and Metcalfe. 450 Moto 2 - Villopoto is out front with Dungey and Barcia close behind. If it stays like this Dungey is in position to take his second overall in a row. Dungey is close to Villopoto all moto, but once again cannot close the gap. The top three in the standings were on the podium today with Dungey making up some points on series leader Villopoto. It was great to see Brett Metcalfe back and with his 5/6 finishes he was fourth overall in his first race back which is awesome! Chad Reed look better in the first moto, but had problems in the second... what's going on, who knows?? |
