Monster
Energy AMA Supercross - Round 15 of the AMA Supercross in Seattle.
We
are outdoors again which is good,but... we are in Seattle and
rain is forecast.
West coast 250 championship is back with Tomac 17 points down
on Roczen.
It's
been designated a wet program so reduced practice time to keep
the plastic covers on the track for as long as posible.
250
Heat 1 - None of the top three are in this heat so Martin
Davalos takes an easy heat win from Zach Osborne and Malcolm Stewart.
250
Heat 2 - In this heat we have the top three in points, Ken
Roczen, Eli Tomac and Cole Seely.
Roczen
gets a great start, Tomac doesn't, but then there's a crash so
the race is red flagged and they are back on the line. Re-start
two and this time Tomac gets off and Roczen and Seely are mid
pack.
After
a few sketchy moments (Tomac nearly falls and Roczen goes down
twice), Tomac takes the win from Jason Anderson and Tyla Rattray.
Seely is sixth and Roczen seventh.
250 Main Event - Tomac gets a great start and leads the
field. Roczen quickly moves into second. Tomac is doing all he
can do for the championship by getting in front. Sipes, Osborne
and Craig are all there.
At
about five laps from the end Tomac cross-ruts going into a double
and the front end drops wildly. Tomac sticks with the bike then
at the last minute he ejects and jumps over the front. This is
enough for Roczen to take over the lead.
By
the time Tomac gets going again he's in second and 11 seconds
behind Roczen.
Roczen
wins the race from Tomac and Osborne and extends his lead in the
championship to twenty points.
